Notes on the Line: Musings from a Folk Artist

The Changing of Minds or Albert Einstein, George Bernard Shaw, and Me

Some people have minds that are already made up, inflexible, unchangeable.  Try not to be one of those people.  I’ll try not to as well.  This doesn’t mean that we should change our minds, just that we should be able to change our minds.

“The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.”

Albert Einstein said that.

“Those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.”

George Bernard Shaw said that.

“You don’t have to be stubborn to be stoic and you don’t have to compromise principle to be perceptive to the thoughts of others.”

I said that.
